On Wednesday, August 13, PHSC will host political candidate debates for four Pasco County races, including County Commissioner District 2, County Commissioner District 4, School Board District 5 and Florida State Representative District 36 (Republican Party). Primary (Election date is August 26, 2014).

The debates will be held in the West Campus Performing Arts Center from 6 ─ 9 p.m. The moderators for the event are Cait McVey, Bay News 9 Reporter and Tom Jackson of the Pasco Tribune.

The event is free and open to the public.

Incoming freshmen are invited to sign up by August 12 for one of our upcoming "Get Acquainted Day" events; being held at each of our five campus locations. Attendees will become better acquainted with the College’s administration, faculty and staff; meet and network with other first year students and learn about academic and student support services, clubs and organizations. We also have a special session planned for our incoming veteran students.

Hurry, and you can still complete the admissions and enrollment process for fall classes! If you are a new student, you can apply online or visit an Admissions office at one of our five campus locations. The College’s application fee is $25 if you register by August 25. Late registration is August 25 – 29 and carries an additional fee of $20. Classes begin on August 25.

Our Corporate Training department, working in partnership with Ed2Go, offers hundreds of online, instructor-led, noncredit courses to students and the community. These convenient, affordable courses can be accessed 24/7 and allow students to study at their own pace.

There are courses available in writing, business, computers, health care, law, teaching and more. Following are a few upcoming, six-week courses that begin August 20, 2014: 

PHSC’s annual Student Leadership Retreat, hosted by the Student Activities office, connects students with Campus and community leaders, engages students in team activities and workshops, and provides information about leadership and membership opportunities in PHSC’s many clubs and organizations. Not only that… it’s fun, free and held at the beautiful Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel.
