TechCon ’14 is coming to all five campuses this fall! The conference kicks off on Monday, October 27, with a technology festival on each campus and ends on Tuesday, November 4, with a full day event on West Campus. You will have opportunities to experience new technologies, participate in hands-on workshops and learn strategies to be successful in the classroom and beyond. PHSC was honored with a Special Contribution Award September 2, 2014, at Pasco Economic Development Council’s 28th Annual Industry of the Year Awards Banquet. At its banquet held annually at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Pasco EDC recognizes local companies that exhibit exemplary growth in technology, innovation, job creation, capital investment and community service.

PHSC students are invited to a day paddling the Weeki Wachee on Friday, September 5 or 12, 2014. Meeting time is 9 a.m. If you have not yet experienced this annual event, we urge you to register early so as not to miss out on a great adventure. This was a sellout activity last year.

On Wednesday, August 13, PHSC will host political candidate debates for four Pasco County races, including County Commissioner District 2, County Commissioner District 4, School Board District 5 and Florida State Representative District 36 (Republican Party). Primary (Election date is August 26, 2014).

The debates will be held in the West Campus Performing Arts Center from 6 ─ 9 p.m. The moderators for the event are Cait McVey, Bay News 9 Reporter and Tom Jackson of the Pasco Tribune.

The event is free and open to the public.

Incoming freshmen are invited to sign up by August 12 for one of our upcoming "Get Acquainted Day" events; being held at each of our five campus locations. Attendees will become better acquainted with the College’s administration, faculty and staff; meet and network with other first year students and learn about academic and student support services, clubs and organizations. We also have a special session planned for our incoming veteran students.
