Misty Renee Price is a native Floridian. Born and raised in Masaryktown, Fla., she graduated from Hernando High School and Pasco-Hernando Community College. She then earned a baccalaureate degree in accounting with a minor in management from the University of South Florida. Upon graduating, she obtained employment in the accounting industry, working in both public accounting and private industry for approximately 10 years. During that time, she obtained a Florida CPA license and graduated from Auburn University with a Master of Accountancy.
In January 2007, she was hired as part-time faculty at PHSC teaching accounting courses. She was hired as full-time faculty one year later. Since being employed at the College, she has served on institution committees, made presentations to peers in the accounting industry and peers who are faculty members, and assisted in program development. Her research interests include studying the leadership skills and abilities of both faculty and administrators serving at community colleges and instructional methodologies.
