Calculus and Analytic Geometry I

This course is designed for students who plan to major in mathematics, computer science, engineering or natural sciences. Topics include: review of functions, limits and continuity, rules of differentiation, derivatives of algebraic and trigonometric functions, inverse functions and their derivatives, derivatives of transcendental functions, mean value theorem and intermediate value theorem, extrema and curve sketching, applications of derivatives, the fundamental theorem of calculus, integration and applications of integration. This course must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher if used to satisfy General Education course degree and/or certificate requirements.
