This course explores the history of the family in America. It includes recent past events and movements that have affected family life; the functioning of the family through various life stages with variations in ethnic, racial, and social class subgroups in American society; and the prospects for the family in the future. This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement. A grade of “C” or higher must be attained.
