Observation and Assessment of Children

<p>This course covers techniques for observing and recording the behavior of young children. Students study the interpretation of authentic assessments as applied to educating the young child from a developmental perspective. Emphasis is on the use of various types of informal measurements along with the appropriate use of standardized assessments. Issues of professionalism including confidentiality, anti-bias, and ethical behaviors are addressed.</p>
