Admission to Law Enforcement Academy

Students may earn a Law Enforcement or Corrections Certificate and receive credit toward their AS. Those wishing to enter the Law Enforcement or Corrections Programs must be admitted into these limited access programs.

Those wishing to enter this limited access program must attend a mandatory orientation session at least six months prior to the start of the Academy class they wish to attend. Orientation sessions are held every third Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Public Service Technology Building at the Dade City campus.

In addition to applying to the College, application must be made for admission to the law enforcement program. All candidates must meet entry requirements, which include physical fitness and psychological testing. Additional entry requirements and application packets are provided at orientation. Day and evening academies are available.
