Admission to Dental Hygiene Program

In addition to applying to the College, those wishing to enter the Dental Hygiene program must also be accepted into the program. Admission to the College does not imply acceptance into the program. Students must submit a specific program application and meet all program application and admission requirements (paar) for consideration.

Students performing in the clinical facilities must understand that they may be exposed to environmental hazards and infectious diseases including but not limited to tuberculosis, hepatitis B, and HIV (AIDS).

Pasco-Hernando State College recommends that all health occupations program students obtain the hepatitis B vaccine prior to entering the clinical experience portion of the program.

Students understand and assume the risks involved in the clinical portion of the health occupations programs at Pasco-Hernando State College, especially the risk of contracting hepatitis B through human blood spills, tuberculosis, HIV (AIDS) and other related infectious diseases while participating in the required clinical experiences.

Applicants should submit the program application only when all of the program requirements have been met. Once an application packet is submitted, it cannot be amended. Students who submit an incomplete application must reapply to the program once all requirements have been met.

  • Application information checklist
Please review the application information checklist. The checklist must be signed and submitted along with the limited access application and requirements in order to complete your packet.
