The General Education Development certificate is recognized as a high school equivalency credential by all 50 states. By completing and passing the GED exam, you will be expanding your future educational and career opportunities. PHSC offers an adult education program (GED preparation program) and a GED testing service.
The Adult Education Program provides the testing, advisement, instruction and tutoring options that will prepare you to take and pass the GED exam. The program is flexible, offering both online and one-on-one support options. Our Teaching-Learning Centers can provide you with detailed information on the costs and steps to get registered in the program.
GED testing services are provided at PHCC Career and Testing Services on the West Campus in New Port Richey. The GED exam is a proctored test that must be taken in person as it is not available online.
To be eligible to enroll in the Adult Education Program or take the GED exam you must be a Florida resident, and be at least 18 years of age or older.
