Jessica Amador, Pasco-Hernando Community College volleyball team member, was selected by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) as a second team All American. Amador was one of three liberos in the country selected as an All American.
In 128 sets, Amador recorded 911 digs, averaging 7.12 digs per set. Amador also was named Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) defensive player of the week three times this season. She made the 25 dig club (25 digs or more in one match) 17 times, also recording the most digs in the state this season with 48 digs on September 20 against Florida College.
“Jessica has worked very hard this season transitioning from the left back position to a middle back position. Her hard work has paid off,” said Kim Whitney, PHCC head women’s volleyball coach. “I am so proud of her accomplishments this year and look forward to having her for another season.”
Amador is a freshman libero from Oviedo, Florida where she played high school volleyball for Oviedo High School and club volleyball for the Orlando Volleyball Academy.
