PHCC's Ja'mil Jones receives FCSAA Honorable Mention

Ja'mil JonesPasco-Hernando Community College men’s basketball player, 6′0″ guard, Ja’mil Jones, was awarded a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 8/ Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Honorable Mention for the week of January 21. The FCSAA released its Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Polls last week noting Jones’ 20 points and six-rebounds in the game against TAAG Academy.

“Team Captain Jones has really demonstrated that he can play this game. He’s a passionate leader who has earned the respect of his teammates. Jones is committed to involving each of his teammates in the game and deserving of this recognition,” said James E. Johnson, PHCC athletic director and head coach.

Jones is PHCC’s second leading scorer with an average of 16.1 points and five assists per game.
