PHCC's Jessica Amador Named FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week

Jessica AmadorPasco-Hernando Community College’s Jessica Amador, a sophomore libero from Oviedo, Fla., was named the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Defensive Player of the Week in women’s volleyball for games played through September 28, 2013.

Amador, a 5’8” sophomore, racked up 141 digs, averaging 6.7 per set as the Lady Conquistadors finished 5-1 that week. The sophomore had 30 more digs in two matches— 30 digs against Clearwater Christian College and 37 digs against Eastern Florida State College.

The National Junior College Athletic Association ranks Amador 15th in the nation (njcaa.org) with 431 total digs for the season and 20th with an average of 5.53 digs per set.
