PHCC Offers Two New Social Media Courses Online

The Pasco-Hernando Community College Corporate Training department recently announced two new online courses, Introduction to LinkedIn Career Networking and Using Social Media in Business. The new courses are available through PHCC’s partnership with Ed2Go—a program that offers hundreds of instructor-led noncredit online courses.

In the Introduction to LinkedIn Career Networking online course students will learn how to use LinkedIn, the popular job search and career development tool, to expand their professional network and find the job of their dreams. They'll gain techniques for using LinkedIn's many powerful tools, including how to create a strong profile, develop business contacts and join groups to extend their reach.

In the Using Social Media in Business online course students will learn how to use the five most popular social media platforms—Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Google+—to grow and promote their businesses. They will also see how to build a social media team, automate social media activities and measure and track social media success.

Introduction to LinkedIn Career Networking and Using Social Media in Business are among more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses available through PHCC’s Ed2Go. Participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow students. The PHCC Ed2Go program offers students flexibility to study at their own pace and 24/7 classroom access from anywhere with an Internet connection.
