Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation will officially dedicate and rename a simulation lab as the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Simulation Laboratory. A dedication ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at 10 a.m. at the West Campus in New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road, Building M, Room 203.
Morton Plant North Bay Hospital recently contributed $63,000 to Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC) Foundation, facilitated through a grant from Morton Plant Mease Foundation. The recent gift from Morton Plant North Bay Hospital enables PHCC to continue to provide advanced training using the latest technology for patient care and to improve the standards of health care education.
Morton Plant North Bay Hospital’s support will help prepare PHCC students in one of the fastest growing career areas—health care.
“PHCC is determined to attract the best and the brightest students who desire to become our community’s leading health care professionals and to provide them with the highest level of education, training and technical skills,” said Jayme Rothberg, PHCC Dean of Health Occupations. PHCC has approximately 250 students graduating in RN and PN programs annually with a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree track soon to be available.
