Gaelic Storm Sails Into PHCC for the 2014 Performing Arts Series

Gaelic StormThe Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC) Foundation presents Gaelic Storm on Saturday, January 25 at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey.

Annual favorite, Gaelic Storm, returns for their eighth performance on the PHCC Stage. The Celtic rock band is back promoting their #1 Billboard World Album, “The Boathouse.” The recent album is the first release from Gaelic Storm’s “Small Batch Sessions,” a new series that offers exclusive releases only available for purchase on the band’s website and at their live shows.

With catalog sales of more than one million, the group has now had four consecutive albums debut at #1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart:  2008’s “What’s the Rumpus?,” 2010’s “Cabbage,” 2012’s “Chicken Boxer” and 2013’s “The Boathouse.”  “The Boathouse” is the sixth album to be released on the Gaelic Storm’s own label, Lost Again Records, and showcases the incomparable songwriting and accomplished musicianship of a band that has made their mark bringing fans to their feet 200 days per year.

Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more, seniors, season ticket holders and PHCC students, faculty and staff. PHCC’s Performing Arts season is sponsored by the Tampa Bay Times, Morton Plant North Bay Hospital and True Oldies 106.3 FM. The Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery feature exhibit Music of My Life by Marty Balin, will be open one hour prior to the performance and during intermission.
