The Encore Academy at Pasco-Hernando State College will offer a variety of workshops in March on the East Campus in Dade City, 36727 Blanton Road. The Encore Academy is a service of PHSC that provides educational opportunities to adults over the age of 50.
Planning for Long Term Care – Monday, 3/3 from 6 to 7 p.m. in room C-106. Are you planning to live to 100 years old? Get your questions about long term care answered and learn the who, what, where, when and how to pay for long term care. Free.
Communicating with Alzheimer’s Disease – Wednesday, 3/5 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in room C-106. A representative from the Alzheimer’s Association will describe techniques for improved communication and answer questions. Free.
Out of Bounds Improvisation – Tuesday, 3/25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room E-106. This workshop allows the student to focus in the moment through increased listening and seeing skills. Creative possibilities will be recognized through moment to moment awareness of self, others, and environment. $18
