The Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation will hold the second annual Bash at the Ranch honoring the Porter family’s commitment to higher education. This exclusive fundraiser is being held on Saturday, April 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. The evening includes a chef-prepared dinner, drinks, live entertainment, wine and beer tastings, silent auction, wine pull and much more.
Strong advocates for education, the Porter family donated approximately 60 acres of land for the new PHSC Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel that opened in January 2014. Successfully using “philanthropy of land” to change the lives of countless residents, J.D. Porter explains the gift was the result of the “long term visioning and cooperative effort of many people focusing in on the most important gift available—education.”
Some PHSC Foundation scholarship recipients have volunteered to work at the event. All proceeds benefit the PHSC Foundation-sponsored endowed scholarships.
Ted and Avis Phillips of the 4G+1 Ranch in Land O’Lakes will host the event on their 5,000 acre cattle and horse ranch. The country house and landscaped courtyard will serve as the setting for the Bash.
The Musunuru Family is the presenting sponsor. Rao Musunuru, M.D., is a member and three-time former chair of PHSC’s District Board of Trustees.
Admission is by advance purchase only. Half of the $150 ticket cost is a tax deductible contribution. Tables and tickets may be purchased by calling 727-816-3410 or by visiting www.phsc.edu/foundation/bash
