Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) will be hosting the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Region IV 2014 Spring Conference at the new Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel on April 4, 2014.
The highlight of the conference is a panel discussion with the region’s college presidents/vice presidents: Thomas C. Leitzel, Ph.D., President, South Florida State College; Anne Cooper, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Instruction and Academic Programs, St. Petersburg College; Carol F. Probstfeld, Ed.D., President, State College of Florida Manatee-Sarasota; Reginald Webb, Vice President of Student Services, Polk State College; and Katherine M. Johnson, Ed.D., President, Pasco-Hernando State College. Other colleges in Region IV are Hillsborough Community College and Edison State College.
Emphasizing the theme of “Four-ging Ahead Together,” conference topics will include developmental education, student performance standardsand veterans’ outreach initiatives.
AFC is divided into five regions in the state of Florida. Each region is coordinated by volunteer elected directors who encourage member institutions to interact among chapters and individual members through professional activities.
