Pasco-Hernando State College will hold an information session about the Florida Manufacturing TRADE Grant opportunities available at the college on Tuesday, June 24 at 4:30 p.m. on the East Campus in Dade City, 36727 Blanton Road, room A-240. The event will provide an overview of this grant program that offers guidance and funding for students interested in pursuing a career in Florida manufacturing. The Florida Manufacturing TRADE Grant program assists individuals who are unemployed and looking for a high-tech career, veterans looking for work or manufacturers looking for skilled workers.
Attendees of the event also will learn about the Certified Production Technician (CPT) course that begins on July 14. Recognized by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) credentialing system, the CPT course includes modules covering four critical production functions: manufacturing processes and production, quality practices and measurement, maintenance awareness, and safety.
