Pasco-Hernando State College is partnering with Gulfcoast North Area Health Education Center (GNAHEC) to provide a free program to those interested in quitting tobacco use. The IQuit with AHEC program is the in-person option of Tobacco Free Florida’s three free and easy ways to quit. The program uses counseling and optional nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to help participants reach their goal to quit tobacco use. Participants are eligible to receive up to four weeks of free NRT products including gum, patches and lozenges, while supplies last and if medically appropriate.
IQuit with AHEC, also sponsored by the Florida Department of Health, is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the PHSC West Campus in New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road in Room J105 (Library Building).
There are no requirements for participation, just a willingness to quit smoking. To register, please call 813-929-1000, ext. 213. To learn more about the three free and easy ways to quit tobacco visit www.tobaccofreeflorida.com.
