Pasco-Hernando State College’s Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery will display artwork from students of The Red Apple School in its upcoming exhibit, The Creative Works. An opening reception, sponsored by the PHSC Student Government Association, will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit runs from August 21 through September 25, 2014.
The first art exhibit of the new season, The Creative Works, is a true testament to The Red Apple School’s mission to educate and nurture developmentally disabled adults. Gallery visitors will experience first-hand the result of the student’s artistic exploration as they overcome physical challenges independently and with hand over hand assistance.
The Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery is located in the Alric C.T. Pottberg Library on the West Campus in New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road. Art gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Art exhibits are free and open to the public.
