Supervisors are responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and coaching employees. Other duties may include preparing work schedules and assigning employees to specific work functions.
Supervisors must be able to get along with a variety of personality types. Self-discipline, patience, sound judgement and the ability to quickly make decisions with confidence are essential traits of a supervisor.
To prepare students for employment in supervisory positions such as account reconciliation supervisor, community service coordinator or other mid-management positions in a variety of business environments.
This program can be completed in less than one year if students attend classes full time.
This certificate program can be completed on East Campus in Dade City, North Campus in Brooksville and West Campus in New Port Richey. At least two-thirds of this certificate can be completed on Spring Hill Campus.
All courses for this certificate are offered in the traditional classroom setting or online.
