Student ambassadors act as liaisons with the community and PHSC, interacting with the public and interested audiences to promote the College..
If you would like to request that the student ambassadors assist you at your College event, please complete the online request form .
Student ambassadors are part of a dynamic group of students who assist the College in special activities such as college nights, commencement ceremonies, District Board of Trustees’ meetings and many other PHSC-sponsored events. Working through the Student Activities offices on all campuses, ambassadors serve as a vital link between the College and prospective students, current students and community visitors.
Following program application, chosen ambassadors will learn about the College and receive training in interpersonal communication, public relations and leadership that will enhance interactions with campus and community leaders. Ambassadors also receive a PHSC blazer and polo shirt embroidered with the student ambassador logo. All ambassadors will receive up to an $800 stipend (up to $400 per term) for a one-year term.
If you have a 3.0 or higher PHSC grade point average, you qualify to apply for the program. In addition to the academic qualifications, student ambassadors will be required to maintain a 3.0 or higher grade point average and enrollment in a minimum of six hours in fall (term I) and spring (term II) for the year. Student ambassadors will also be required to devote a minimum of 10 hours per week (with flexibility in schedule as needed) and must be able to provide their own transportation for duties.
