Golf enthusiasts and Pasco-Hernando Community College supporters teed up at the Fourth Annual Pasco-Hernando Community College (PHCC) Foundation Golf Tournament, October 7, 2013. Players, led by presenting sponsors Borrell Electric Company and Skanska USA Building, enjoyed the links of the exclusive Black Diamond Quarry Course while raising funds for the PHCC Foundation.
Congratulations to the First Place Gross team from Tampa Electric Company, including Jimmy Adcock, Joe Cobb, Keith Martin and John Semeraro. First Place Net trophies were distributed to Daniel Abou-Jaoude, Ken Kunde, Daniel Middle and Greg Ritter representing Borrell Electric Company. Paul Gassen, Sunrise Landscaping, won the Putting Contest while Zach Maraicher of Cox Fire Protection and Debra Bauman from Skanska USA Building obtained the Closest to the Pin awards. PHCC’s President Katherine Johnson, Ed.D., and Joe Cobb from Tampa Electric Company took home the prizes for the longest drive.
Katherine Johnson, Ed.D., PHCC’s president and William Shustowski, Jr., Ph.D., executive director of the PHCC Foundation and dean of institutional advancement, recognized presenting sponsors Skanska USA Building and Borrell Electric Company at the awards banquet immediately following play. Generous support from these and many more sponsors elevated the funds raised to over $37,000. All proceeds are dedicated to the advancement of student scholarships, academic and athletic programs, libraries and other needed college initiatives.
