Pasco-Hernando State College will host Interviewing Tips, Resume Tips and Employability Skills workshops at the West Campus, in New Port Richey, 10230 Ridge Road. These career focused workshops are free and open to students and to the public.
Resume Tips – Tuesday, February 18 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in M-101. Participants will learn how to format a resume to focus it on the target or desired job. Attendees also will learn key words and phrases to use when writing a resume to increase the likelihood of it being read by a hiring manager.
Interviewing Tips – Tuesday, February 25 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in R-151B or Thursday, February 27 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in R-151B. Participants will learn common interview protocols, unique tips and techniques, including how to dress professionally, proper body language during the interview and appropriate post-interview follow up.
Employability Skills – Thursday, March 20 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in R-151B or Monday, March 24 from 5 to 6:15 p.m. in M-101. Learn what potential employers are looking for when they hire—such as a person who can communicate well, has a positive attitude, a good work ethic and much more.
