Accounting Technology Management—Certificate
Accounting and finance technology professionals have a broad base of knowledge regarding accounting principles and procedures; financial transaction analysis, organization and recording. Duties may include preparing and reporting financial data; and checking for accuracy of entries, calculations and postings.
Being detail-oriented and analytical while possessing strong organizational skills is essential for accounting technology professionals. A comprehensive understanding of accounting software is imperative.
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in entry-level accounting positions. Program content prepares students in the principles, procedures and theories of organizing, recording and maintaining financial records and preparing financial statements for internal and external use.
Full-time students may complete the program in about one year. Part-time students may require additional time.
This program can be completed on East Campus in Dade City, North Campus in Brooksville and West Campus in New Port Richey. General education courses and some accounting courses may be completed on Spring Hill Campus.
All courses for this degree are offered in a traditional classroom setting. At least 75 percent of the courses from this program are also offered online.
