Accounting Technology Specialist—Certificate
Accounting specialists will understand the basic principles of accounting, along with common accounting standards and office procedures. Responsibilities typically include various aspects of recording and reporting financial transactions. These professionals may handle bank statement reconciliations, payroll functions, bookkeeping, and accounts payable and receivable.
Accounting and finance clerks need to be knowledgeable about various accounting software programs and their applications in the accounting field. Thinking critically is a crucial skill as is an ability to perform mathematical equations accurately.
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in entry-level accounting positions. Program content prepares students in the principles and theories of financial records and financial statements.
Full-time students may complete the program in one semester. Part-time students may require additional time.
This program can be completed on East Campus in Dade City, North Campus in Brooksville and West Campus in New Port Richey. General education courses and some accounting courses may be completed on Spring Hill Campus.
All courses for this degree are offered in a traditional classroom setting or online.
