AutoCAD Foundations - Certificate
Under the direction of engineers and architects, computer aided design (CAD) operators or drafters prepare drawings for various industries, including the architectural disciplines of civil and mechanical engineering.
CAD drafters should be able to draw well and perform detailed work neatly and accurately. Visual aptitude and mechanical ability are essential. Must be able to prepare complex computer-aided design from applications.
To prepare students to assist architects and construction engineers in planning, designing and detailing. Computer design techniques are emphasized in this program. Upon successful completion of this program, students may transfer into the two-year Associate in Science in Drafting and Design Technology degree.
This certificate can be completed in less than one year.
This program is located on West Campus in New Port Richey.
