Managers oversee the operational and fiscal activities of the areas they supervise. Duties may include formulating policies, managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.
Business managers must have highly developed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and persuasively, while quickly processing large quantities of information analytically.
To prepare students for employment in supervisory positions such as department supervisor, assistant buyer, customer service supervisor or other midmanagement positions in a variety of business environments.
This program can be completed in approximately one year if students attend classes on a full-time basis.
This certificate program can be completed on East Campus in Dade City, North Campus in Brooksville and West Campus in New Port Richey. At least two-thirds of this certificate can be completed on Spring Hill Campus.
All courses for this certificate are offered in the traditional classroom setting or online.
