Managers oversee the operational and fiscal activities of the areas they supervise. Duties may include formulating policies, managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.
Business managers must have highly developed interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and persuasively, while quickly processing large quantities of information analytically.
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for the operation of a business and to become business owners and entrepreneurs.
