Database and E-Commerce Security—Certificate
Database administrators identify user needs in order to create, operate, merge and administer databases. These professionals continually monitor databases to ensure that they operate efficiently and run without error.
Problem analysis and problem solving skills are essential. Successful database administrators should understand organizational plans and have the ability to design and implement a database that is user friendly and performs effectively.
The purpose of this certificate program is to prepare students for further education and careers such as database security professionals and e-commerce security professionals in information technology, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations. Upon successful completion of this program, an individual may transfer into the two-year Associate in Science in Information Technology Security degree program.
Upon completion, students need to contact the Admissions and Student Records office to apply for certificate(s). Students are encouraged to complete courses in the AS degree program.
This program can be completed in approximately one year if students are attending classes on a full-time basis.
This degree program can be completed on the West Campus in New Port Richey.
