Office Specialist—Certificate

Office assistants are an integral part of the everyday operation of the businesses for which they work.

Effective office technicians are highly organized, detail oriented, efficient, resourceful and technologically savvy.


To prepare students for employment as receptionists, assistant office managers, data entry specialists or to provide supplemental training for students previously or currently employed in these occupations. Upon successful completion of this program, an individual may transfer to the two-year Associate in Science in Office Administration degree.


This program can be completed in less than one year if students attend classes on a full-time basis.


This certificate can only be completed on West Campus in New Port Richey; however, a few courses within the certificate are available on other campuses.


All courses for this certificate are offered in the traditional classroom setting or online.
