Office assistants are an integral part of the daily operations of the businesses for which they work.
Effective office technicians are highly organized, detail oriented, efficient, resourceful and technologically savvy.
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in occupations such as data entry specialist/clerk, electronic publisher, insurance processing clerk, office assistant, receptionist and information clerk or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.
The courses in this program are also part of the Associate in Science in Office Administration degree. Upon successful completion of this program, an individual may transfer to the two-year Associate in Science in Office Administration degree program.
This program can be completed in less than six months if students attend classes on a full-time basis.
This certificate can only be completed on the West Campus in New Port Richey; however, a few courses within the program are available on other campuses or online.
