QuistaMail and Google Apps Policies

Gmail and Google Apps for Education are made available to PHSC students under the terms of a contract between PHSC and Google, which must be agreed to by each PHSC user. The Terms and Conditions statement is displayed when you first log in to your PHSC Google Apps account.

Use of PHSC's Google Apps service is also subject to all policies in PHSC's Catalog/Student Handbook and Internal Management Memorandum 1-19.

Restricted and prohibited data may not be placed in QuistaMail nor any Google App. This includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Patient health information
  • Social Security numbers
  • Financial account numbers
  • Driver's license numbers
  • Credit card numbers

Closing Your Google Account

QuistaMail (Gmail) accounts are available to PHSC students. Your eligibility for the Google account begins when you first apply.

One year after you graduate, or your last attendance, your account will be inactivated and you will no longer have access to your QuistaMail or Google Apps documents. Should you return to the College, your account will be reactivated, but any email you previously had will no longer be available.

If you want to close your account, you should download any data you wish to keep, then submit a request to close your account at studenthelpdesk@phsc.edu.

Keep in mind that if you close your account, the College may no longer be able to send you official notices regarding financial aid, registration, etc.
