Assistant Professor Plant has a widely varied background in education. He has taught in middle school, high schools, community colleges, the construction/technology industry and the military and served as a GTA at a major state university. This experience includes foreign and domestic environments.
Assistant Professor Plant has been in education related endeavors for most of his adult life. His philosophy of education is that education should be intrinsically interesting and enjoyable. He works hard at, and meets with considerable success, in helping his students to gain a realistic education and then have them transition successfully into the world of work or into an appropriate four-year program such as engineering, architecture or social science related careers. Where appropriate he helps his students to aspire to, and plan for, additional graduate education.
