Kayaking the Weeki Wachee

Kayaking at Weeki Wachee SpringsExperience the natural beauty of the crystal clear waters of the Weeki Wachee River in a Paddling Adventures kayak. Paddle at your own pace with fellow students downstream on the slow moving current of the Weeki Wachee River located in the heart of Florida's Nature Coast. See wildlife including the famous West Indian Manatee, underwater river life, aquatic birds of all types and sizes, turtles and a lot more.

Arrive by 9 a.m. on the day of the trip and park at Paddling Adventures.

You must be a currently enrolled PHSC student and sign waivers for PHSC and Paddling Adventures upon arrival. Equipment (kayak, paddle and life jacket) rental is paid for by Student Activities. The trip will last three-four hours.

There will be two students per kayak. The kayaks are very easy to use and the Weeki Wachee River is very easy to navigate even for the beginning paddler. The company will have a van meet us at the end to transport us and the equipment back to where we parked. See the Paddling Adventures website for information about Paddling Adventures.

The April 17 trip is full, but you may register for the Friday, April 24 trip.
