Students entering grades 6 – 8 are eligible for the Summer Career Camps at Pasco-Hernando State College.

Camp participants will be inspired and enjoy a stimulating, interactive and fun learning environment while they explore popular career programs offered at PHSC.

Camp Topics and Locations

East Campus

Aviation Career Camp
July 25–28, 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Discover the unlimited opportunities a career in aviation presents. Campers are introduced to the world of aviation with hands-on activities such as, how hot air balloons and airplanes stay aloft and maneuver in midair. Camp fee: $110

Fire Science Career Camp
July 25–28, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This camp combines instruction with intense, hands-on applications where campers perform various skills required of firefighters and paramedics in their careers.
Camp fee: $110

Survival Career Camp
July 18-21, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Do you know what it takes to survive if you are lost or injured in the outdoors? Campers engage in unique learning experiences on personal safety and first aid/CPR.
Camp fee: $110

Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch

Health Career Camp
July 18–21, 9 a.m. to noon

Campers learn about health careers such as surgical technology, are trained in the American Heart Association HeartSaver automated external defibrillation (AED) and CPR procedures, learn about safety procedures in a medical environment, and visit simulation labs. Camp fee: $100

Photography (Digital) Career Camp
July 18–21, 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Campers will experience an intensive exploration of photography in the digital age, be immersed in the art and craft of still photography and introduced to the tools necessary to capture and refine great images. (Participants must bring their own digital camera to this camp.) Camp fee: $110

West Campus

EMS First Aid and Safety Career Camp
June 27–30, 9 a.m. to noon

Campers learn about first aid and safety procedures, and are trained in the American Heart Association HeartSaver automated external defibrillation (AED) and CPR procedures. Camp fee: $110

Engineering/Adv. Manufacturing Career Camp
July 18–21, 9 a.m. to noon

Campers learn drafting principles and practices, how robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics are used in manufacturing, and introduced to use the 3D modeling software 3D printing. 
Camp fee: $110
