PHSC will host a Constitution Day celebration to commemorate the 1787 formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution. Hernando County Supervisor of Elections Shirley Anderson will be on campus with voter registration materials. Each attendee also will receive a copy of the preamble to the U.S. Constitution while supplies last. Additionally, on Tuesday, September 18, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Michael Lashbrook, PHSC history instructor, will discuss the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the events that led to the creation of the Constitution and the Preamble. PHSC’s Constitution Day celebration events are free and open to students, faculty, staff and the community.
