The Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) Foundation recently received a $1,300 gift from Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, Fla. designated toward support of PHSC students pursuing a career in health care. Oak Hill Hospital, located in Brooksville, Fla., will fund two semester scholarships each year for students pursuing nursing and health degrees at PHSC. Preference will be given to students who are employees of the hospital.

Since 1984, Oak Hill Hospital has delivered a range of health care services to residents in Hernando and Citrus counties. The hospital provides health services through its Heart Institute, Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, Maternity Suites, Cancer Institute, Women’s Imaging Center, Pediatric ER and adult Emergency Rooms, and ExpressLab.

Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation, Inc., established as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization in 1975, seeks philanthropic support from individuals, businesses, foundations and community groups to increase access to education and to enhance cultural opportunities for the surrounding community.
