Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) will host One Nation events on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel, 2727 Mansfield Blvd. in the Conference Center, building B, room 303. Activities and events include:

11 a.m. – Provost’s Heroes – A Holocaust Survivor Story of Hope – A conversation with Elly Weissman Doff, affectionately known as ‘Momma’ Doff, Jewish Holocaust survivor. Moderated by Kevin O’Farrell, Ph.D., provost, Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch, and Jackie May, PHSC associate professor of English.

12:30 p.m. – Pizza with the Provost – Candidate and Campaign Fair – An opportunity to meet, greet, and eat with local candidates running for office during the 2018 campaign season. 

2:30 p.m. Returning Citizens: Voting Rights Restoration – A Conversation with Desmond Meade, president of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, regarding Amendment 4. Moderated by Davina Jones, Ph.D., PHSC professor of speech communication.           

A One Nation Art Show will display PHSC student submitted artwork throughout the day. One Nation demonstrates PHSC’s ongoing commitment to engage the community in exploring and facilitating dialogue on diversity.
