Pasco-Hernando State College’s Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery will exhibit Art with Needle and Thread, presented by Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Gulfview Chapter, from October 24 through December 12, 2018. An opening reception, sponsored by the PHSC Student Government Association, will be held on Tuesday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Art with Needle and Thread, will include a display of silk and metal threads, blackwork, drawn thread, hardanger, needle lace, ethnic embroidery and crewel techniques.
The Embroiderers’ Guild of America is a national non-profit educational organization offering study and preservation of the heritage and art of embroidery.
Members of the Embroiderers’ Guild will host Embroidery Stitch-Ins on Wednesday, October 31 and Wednesday, November 28 from noon to 3 p.m. in the Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery.
Art exhibits are free and open to the public. The Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Fridays 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
