The powdery soft sands, crystal clear emerald green waters of the Weeki Wachee River Springs is the perfect spot to encounter manatees, otters, shore birds and a variety of fish!
This year stress is everywhere, and you deserve to take a break and relax. The sun, sand, and pristine waters provide the perfect setting for doing just that. Weeki Wachee is simply a great place for students to kick back, relax, and enjoy the pleasures of all that the springs have to offer.
About the Kayak Trip
Kayak, paddle and safety equipment are included and paid for by the Student Government Association (SGA).

This kayak trip is moderately difficult. It will last 2 to 4 hours and will begin with a steady paddle up stream. When it is time to turn back, you will paddle with the current back to our starting point.
Open to current PHSC Students. Space is limited and limited to one trip date per student.
Must be a currently enrolled PHSC student to be eligible for this trip. Only ONE registration per student. Complete the registration form to confirm your spot. Students are responsible for transportation to and from Boating In Florida (previously Paddling Adventures). Participants must follow the College policy during the entire event. There will be two students per kayak.
Follow these tips to help ensure an awesome kayaking experience:
- Eat a good breakfast
- Bring sunscreen and water
- Bring bug spray
- Wear appropriate attire for getting wet
- Bring snacks
- Do not bring valuables, electronics or items that can’t get wet
