In a memorandum to PHSC faculty and staff on May 17, 2021, PHSC President announces COVID-19 protocols update for the College:

As we begin our summer term at Pasco-Hernando State College, major COVID-19 announcements have been in the news. The CDC relaxed mask recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals, with some exceptions. Additionally, Governor Ron DeSantis authorized Executive Order 21-101 and Executive Order 21-102 to expedite the return of Florida to pre-COVID-19 emergency conditions. While these actions are encouraging and indicate that Coronavirus conditions have improved, PHSC protocols will not be impacted immediately.

In accordance with the Florida College System (FCS), PHSC will continue to follow current COVID-19 protocols through the remainder of the 2020-21 fiscal year which ends June 30. PHSC continues to track district COVID-19 conditions. I, and other PHSC administrators, are in communication with the FCS and community health care partners to determine the best course of action for the health and safety of the College and community. We continue to work collaboratively with faculty and staff to expand opportunities for more face-to-face and hybrid courses and increase access to in-person student services in a safe, cautious and effective manner.

Thank you for continuing to observe College COVID-19 guidelines. For the latest PHSC COVID-19 updates and safety information, visit https://safety.phsc.edu/procedures/coronavirus

Once again, I appreciate your diligence in keeping yourself and our entire college community safe and healthy.
