E-Business Technology

The e-business technology field consists of marketing, sales and other business initiatives conducted via computer-mediated networks. In this quickly expandig profession, technology business professionals perform a variety of duties that require training in both business and technology.

The courses in this certificate program also are part of the Associate in Science in E-Business Technology program. After receiving their certificate, students are encouraged to continue their education by completing the courses in the AS degree.

Job Outlook

The Internet offers numerous opportunities for entrepreneurs to start their own e-businesses with minimal startup costs. It also allows existing businesses to expand their customer base to online markets.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, salaries for information systems analysts vary depending on the employer, the specialty and the geographic area. In general, annual salaries for information systems analysts average approximately $48,000. Salaries for more experienced professionals are approximately $77,000, depending on geographic location and industry.
