About the Investiture

A college president investiture is a significant milestone in the life of an institution, marking the beginning of a new leader’s administration with academic tradition, leadership transition and community celebration.

The investiture ceremony typically includes an academic procession, where delegates from other colleges and universities, trustees, and faculty members wear their institutional regalia.  The ceremony involves the formal transfer of authority, often accompanied by music selections, greetings from dignitaries, and the president’s address.

    Jesse Pisors, Ed.D.

    PHSC President, Pasco-Hernando State College

    Jesse Pisors, Ed.D. became the fifth president of Pasco-Hernando State College on February 1, 2024. As a seasoned leader with a deep commitment to facilitating transformation through education, his experience in the field has spanned more than 25 years. Pisors has demonstrated an ability to drive positive growth, enhance student experiences and strengthen community ties. Previously, he served as vice president at two public universities: Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMUSA) and University of Houston-Victoria (UHV). Pisors holds a doctorate in higher education administration from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree from Oral Roberts University and bachelor’s in history from Oral Roberts University.
