Pasco-Hernando State College is continuing to work through a nationwide cybersecurity incident involving Instructure, the company that owns Canvas. Instructure has informed us that Pasco-Hernando State College is one of the colleges impacted by the incident.
At this time, Canvas cannot be accessed temporarily. PHSC understands the inconvenience this causes for our students, faculty and staff. We are working to get access back as soon as possible.
PHSC’s priority is the security and privacy of our students, faculty and staff.
As a precaution, we strongly recommend the following:
- Change your PHSC password
- Be alert for increased phishing and suspicious emails, text messages, or phone calls claiming to be from PHSC or Canvas
- Never provide your password through email or links sent unexpectedly
- Use strong, unique passwords for personal accounts
