Pasco-Hernando State College will host a barbecue fundraiser for the PHSC Apprenticeship Program on Thursday, February 6, at 4 p.m. The BBQ fundraiser will be held at the Workforce Development Center at Gowers Corner, 18950 Michigan Lane, Spring Hill, Fla. 34610. 

The event is free and open to the construction and building industry, requiring registration for attendance. The program aims to support and provide hands-on learning opportunities and apprenticeships for students interested in the construction industry. Guests will learn about sponsorship opportunities, partnerships and apprenticeships.

PHSC's one-of-a-kind Construction Learning Center is located in Spring Hill, Fla., covering almost 2 acres including an indoor classroom for concept and general knowledge discussions and an outdoor 9,600 square foot outdoor construction lab area. The Construction Learning Center provides a free Apprenticeship program with hands-on learning opportunities and job placement. With a focus on innovation in workforce development, this center is here to pave the way for students eager to enter high-demand industries within Pasco and Hernando counties.
