The Reasons for Revolution
Come enjoy a sweet treat and an engaging conversation celebrating Constitution Day and the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
The program will open with President Eric Hall, Ed.D., and Professor Eric Wolters in conversation about the U.S. Constitution, its significance, and its connection to the founding of our nation. Following their conversation, Professor Wolters will present “The Reasons for Revolution.”
In this lecture, Professor Wolters will explore the events and grievances that contributed to the American Revolution. Drawing from Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence, he will provide historical context on the many acts and policies of the British government that Jefferson identified as grievances against the American colonies and as reasons for declaring independence.
