The Florida Department of Education has updated the mathematics courses offered through the Florida College System and State University System.
MGF1106 (Mathematics for Liberal Arts) and MGF1107 (Explorations in Mathematics) will no longer be offered after summer 2024. The new courses are MGF1130 (Mathematical Thinking) and MGF1131 (Mathematics in Context).
For students under catalog years 2024 and prior, the degree audit will show MGF1106 and MGF1107 as options in the mathematics section and will not include MGF1130 and MGF1131. However, students can take MGF1130 and MGF1131 in place of MGF1106 and MGF1107 to meet the mathematics requirements.
