Footsteps In Reflection

Artist: Clovis Dean Rusk, oil painter

October 11 - November 24, 2021

Through the universal language of painting, Clovis Dean Rusk’s personal artworks are, in his words, "footsteps in reflection" — a retelling of a moment, a place, a person. His exhibit tracks the first years of his journey in oils on canvas.

Darker Images

Artist: John Stalter, photographer

January 10 - February 18, 2022

Darker Images is based on various nightmare images, such as vampires and ‘monsters under the bed’. It is meant to provoke a deeper thought into how our mind processes various negative images.

Into Florida’s Wilderness

Artist: Steven Cavanah, black and white photographer

January 10 - February 18, 2022

Venture into the wilderness of Florida with large format photographer Steven Cavanah. Using an early 1900s wooden camera, he captures images on film and handcrafts each print using only traditional darkroom techniques. Measuring up to five feet wide, his prints provide an immersive experience as each wilderness scene is displayed in rich detail.

Drawn to Water

Artist: Melissa Miller Nece, colored pencil artist

March 2 - April 22, 2022

Called to the beach -- artist, Melissa Miller Nece, is inspired by the natural environment by itself, along with it being a stage for human activity. Her drawings include both elements, energy and color, brought by people interacting with each other and with sand, water and sky.

About the Gallery

Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery encourages us to discover a different view of our world and to make art a part of our everyday life. Located on the West Campus in New Port Richey, this dynamic gallery presents various art forms including ceramicists, illustrators, painters, photographers, printmakers, and sculptors throughout the year.

All exhibits are presented at no charge to the public. Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please note: Gallery visitors are expected to practice social distancing in line with CDC guidelines as it relates to COVID-19.

About Rao Musunuru, M.D.

The Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery is named in honor of cardiologist Rao Musunuru, M.D. in recognition of his generous support of PHSC. He is a member and four-time former chair of PHSC's District Board of Trustees. Dr. Musunuru’s commitment and passion for his community are indicative of his more recent honor—Dr. Musunuru was named 2019 Philanthropist of the Year by the Nature Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
