We hope everyone is safe from Hurricane Milton and our thoughts are with those that are still feeling effects from the loss of power, flooding, destruction and much more. As predicted, all games were cancelled last week and there is still some uncertainty when some of the games will be made up.
The women’s volleyball team is scheduled to travel to St. Petersburg College on Wednesday October 16, but that may be rescheduled or moved to our gymnasium, while the home game against State College of Florida is questionable for Friday as their campus was hit extremely hard by Hurricane Milton.
The women’s soccer team will return to action hosting Pensacola State College on Thursday, October 17 at 4 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m.
The women’s softball team is currently scheduled to host St. Petersburg College on Friday, October 18 at 3 p.m., but that may be changed.
The men’s basketball team will scrimmage Forges Sports Academy on Saturday, October 19 at 12 p.m.
In other news, congratulations to Jacki Waller, our women’s cross country coach who completed the Chicago Marathon in 3:17:54. Jacki averaged 7:27/mile for the 26.2-mile race.
