Drafting and Design
AutoCAD Foundations
College Credit Certificate
Under the direction of engineers and architects, computer aided design (CAD) operators or drafters prepare drawings for various industries, including the architectural disciplines of civil and mechanical engineering.
Drafting and Design Technology
Associate in Science
Drafters and designers produce schematic drawings and instrumentation diagrams and drawings of finished products. While trained to use traditional drafting machines, rules, curves, triangles and other drawing tools, most professional drafters and designers use computer-aided design software (CAD). Most drafters are expected to create freehand drawings and often incorporate lettering and label information to complete final design projects. Many areas of specialization offer unique opportunities within the field, each with its own collection of skills related to civil, electrical, electronic and mechanical architecture.
Engineering Technology
Automation
College Credit Certificate
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment in engineering support positions. This program focuses on broad, transferrable skills and stresses the understanding and demonstration of the following elements of engineering technology and industrial applications: PLCs, automation, and control systems in high tech production, manufacturing, distribution, and engineering research and development facilities. Students will gain relevant technical knowledge, technical skill proficiency, and preparation for further education and careers in the manufacturing career cluster.
Engineering Technology
Associate in Science
The field of engineering is vast and career opportunities within the field are flourishing. Entry-level positions within the field of engineering offer support in many areas such as advanced manufacturing; and in positions such as machinist, assembler and engineering technician.
Working in a technician role within the engineering field requires critical thinking and problem solving skills. The ability to identify and analyze problems while finding innovative solutions can be crucial. It is necessary to have an understanding of industry equipment, safety, processes, and quality assurance.

Industrial Management Technology
Associate in Science
Industrial production managers plan, direct and coordinate the production activities that generate millions of materials and goods annually. These professionals ensure production proceeds smoothly, on time and within budget. Depending on the size of the manufacturing plant, industrial production managers may oversee the entire plant or a single area. These professionals are responsible for quality control, containing costs, increasing productivity and maximizing profits.
